Kris is originally from Coast Salish Territory, White Rock, BC. Prior to finding some stillness in the Kootenays, she spent a good chunk of her early adult life on the road, fighting for indigenous sovereignty, human rights and environmental protection throughout so-called BC and beyond.She owes her love and appreciation for the earth and its inhabitants to a childhood in the forests between the mountains and the Salish Sea
